7 Day Vehicle Exchange Policy
- Eligibility Requirements:
- Dealership Purchase: The vehicle must have been purchased at a Bruce dealership.
- Location: The exchange must take place at the same Bruce location where the vehicle was originally purchased.
- Exchange Period: Exchange requests must be received by 5 PM on the 7th calendar day following the day of delivery. The delivery day counts as Day 1 regardless of the time of delivery.
- Mileage: The vehicle must have been driven for less than 500 kilometers from the time of purchase.
- Vehicle Condition: The vehicle to be exchanged must be returned in the same condition it was delivered. It must not have suffered any damage or been modified in any way.
Ineligible Vehicles:
- As-traded, Specialty, or High-Performance vehicles are not eligible for exchange.
- Vehicles purchased from an outside source (dealer trades) on behalf of the customer, vehicles delivered outside of Nova Scotia, or vehicles purchased at Bruce Leasing Limited.
Additional Terms and Conditions:
- Accessories and Protection Products: Installed accessories and protection products (including but not limited to Ceramic Coatings, Paint Protection, Interior Protection, and Rust Protection) are not covered under this exchange policy. Partial refunds may be available depending on the product.
- Warranties and Insurances: Warranties, insurances, and pre-paid maintenance packages will be reversed and canceled. The customer may be responsible for fees associated with the cancellation.
- Licensing Costs: Customers are responsible for any licensing costs associated with the vehicle exchange.
- Government Rebates: Customers are responsible for returning any government-provided rebates for Electric or Hybrid vehicle purchases.
Additional Provisions:
- Inspection: The returned vehicle will be subject to an inspection by the dealership to confirm its condition and mileage. Any discrepancies may affect eligibility for exchange.
- Transaction details: The customer must select a replacement vehicle from the available inventory at the same Bruce dealership. If the original vehicle was paid in cash, the replacement vehicle must be of equal or greater value than the original purchase. Any price difference will be settled at the time of the exchange.
For financed vehicles, the original purchase agreement will be reversed and the loan canceled. A new transaction/loan will be initiated for the new vehicle. Note that certain lenders may not allow the cancellation of the loan and may require it to be paid out instead. In those cases, the vehicle being exchanged will be considered a trade-in as part of the new transaction. Chargebacks and fees resulting from this will be the responsibility of the customer. - Documentation: Customers must provide all original purchase documents, including the sales contract, registration, and any other paperwork provided at the time of sale.
- Single Exchange: This policy allows for a single exchange per purchase. Subsequent exchanges are not permitted.
By adhering to this exchange policy, Bruce Dealership aims to ensure customer satisfaction while maintaining the integrity and quality of its inventory. For any further inquiries or clarification, please contact your Bruce dealership directly.
